About

Grouville House

This beautiful old property in the Grouville countryside was a pleasure to work on and is very typical of the old granite farmhouses dotted around Jersey. Originally an old barn connected to the main farmhouse, we had to strip back to the shell and upgrade everything from the ground up including underpinning, new structural slabs, tanking to manage the inevitable water ingress through the granite and a new thermal envelope internally. The Ground Floor consisted of a large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living space with separate WC and Utilty Room and the mezzanine floor had another bathroom/shower room with a large open gallery room that could be multi purpose, play room, living space, office or gym! The entire space had open gallery ceilings full height exposing some of the beautiful old timber beams. We also removed the old fossil fuel boiler and replaced with an air source heat pump to deliver cost efficient hot water and heating to the under floor heating pipework throughout. Its where our Clients and their family spend most of their day, really pleased with how this one turned out.
